This space is a visual collection of the foods that have shaped me—favorites from my early years in Singapore, the meals I grew up with after returning to the US, and dishes I’ve discovered during international travel. My African American heritage and my love of Asian cuisine come together in ways that make my tastes feel both rooted and wide‑ranging.
Most of what’s here is photographic: meals that caught my eye, comfort foods that feel like home, and new dishes that expanded how I think about flavor. I’ve always seen food as a form of art—color, texture, composition, and memory all working together—and the short notes that accompany these images reflect what each meal meant to me in the moment. These small impressions often spark inspiration in my creative work in unexpected ways.
